Words are music, and the bridge to other worlds.
They can create.
They can carry.
They can destroy. So sharpen your sword—
and use them wisely.“Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates:
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?”

About me
I was born into a working-class migrant family in the south of Germany,
where love was quiet and survival loud.
Our home held three languages—Slovenian, Croatian, and German—
braiding together like rivers that didn’t always meet in the middle.
From the beginning, I lived between them.
Between words, between worlds.
Between the things that were said
and all that lived in silence.
As a child, I sang.
I rhymed and hummed and whispered poems to the walls.
I did it so much, my half-sister would beg me to stop—
but the songs had their own life, and they followed me everywhere.
Even then, I felt the world was made of stories—
in voices, in glances, in the way the air changed before a sentence.
I would sit quietly, listening to my Slovenian grandmother as she shared
gossip and memories with the neighbors.
Even the words I couldn’t yet understand painted moving pictures in my mind.
I filled in the gaps with feeling,
with rhythm,
with wonder.
I asked endless questions.
So many that my mother would sigh and say,
“Warum, warum, warum ist die Banane krumm?”
(Why, why, why is the banana crooked?)
A question meant to end questions—
but it only opened more in me.
It has taken me a lifetime to find a sense of belonging.
To soften what was hardened.
To allow all my languages—spoken and unspoken—to live in one voice.
I’ve always loved words.
Not just their meaning,
but their shape, their sound, the silence they come from.
Palavramagia is not a service.
It is not a brand.
It is a quiet room.
A place to lay down my thoughts like feathers—
not knowing who might find them,
only trusting that someone will.
If you are here,
maybe one of them was meant for you.
Z besedami gradim mostove. Hvala, ker si tukaj. (I build bridges with words. Thank you for being here.)
